History
It startedwith onestaircase.
One day three excellent experienced engineers with university degrees (Maxim, Evgeny and Sviatoslav) joined forces to build the world's best construction calculator, GoldenCalc.
There are several key reasons:
1. There was not a single suitable simple calculator one could use without serious construction-domain knowledge, or without experience with specialised software. Our calculator accounts for every optimal parameter and ensures the final product complies with SNiP (construction norms and rules).
2. Every calculator that returns any genuine parameters and data — the kind that lets you actually build a comfortable, quality product — requires a mandatory paid registration and subscription. We instead earn through advertising local manufacturers (after calculating your staircase you can send it for a detailed quote only to verified manufacturers in your region and read only up-to-date reviews).
3. Every calculation is accompanied by links to additional information and articles, so even on your first staircase you can dive into this construction field in real depth and with ease. Going forward we plan to add data that will let anyone start their own production from scratch.
4. This calculator is equally relevant for developers, architects, designers and site managers. It lets you align the project with the client very quickly and find responsible, vetted contractors.
Today GoldenCalc means four staircase types, six wood species, three domain zones. Everything we promise in 2025 — free, with no registration and no specialised software to install.
